My Nutrition Philosophy

I have over 30+ years of experience in Medical Nutrition Therapy.  My philosophy as a Registered Dietitian/ Nutritionist is that it is my responsibility to teach people how to eat to be healthy because if you are eating to be healthy you will be thinner.  Being over weight puts a person at risk for diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, cancer, back and joint problems.  People need to learn how the body reacts to certain foods, how to eat the foods they enjoy, and what are proper portion sizes because too much of a good thing will also make you over weight.  It’s not just the food but the why?  Therefore I help the client uncover their triggers and teach them to incorporate behavior modification techniques that will help them deal with the triggers that cause over eating and lack of exercise.

I am available for one on one individual counseling as well as group classes.
